Pakistan Football League Partners with Spain’s Atletico de Madrid. Representatives from Spanish Club Atletico de Madrid are exited to join the opening ceremony of the Pakistan Football League (PFL).
Adolfo Guerrero Gunther, the manager of the Atlético de Madrid Academy, voiced excitement at the invitation to the PFL launch and the opportunity to return to Pakistan.
“It (Pakistan) is a huge market full of opportunities, where we wish to explore different possibilities to develop the Academy programs,” he added.
The Pakistan Football League launches with a groundbreaking ceremony in Lahore on June 4, 2024. Afterwards, there will be farewell dinners in various cities to celebrate its success with VVIPs and celebrities. The British Deputy High Commissioner will host a farewell reception in Karachi on June 5.

English football legend Michael Owen’s appointment as Ambassador of the league signals the imminent launch of the Pakistan Football League (PFL) in Lahore on June 4.
Michael Owen will chief Guest of the PFL launch, alongside a delegation of approximately 25 international guests, including Mike Farnan of Redstrike, SL Benfica’s Davide Gomes and Luis Miguel de Sousa Santos Reis, and football analyst Mike Alison.
