One of the most eagerly anticipated video game releases of recent times – the sixth edition of the Grand Theft Auto franchise – will take place in autumn 2025, its publisher said.
The game publisher’s fiscal year ends in March, and the company anticipates a 10% increase in net income over the next 12 months. The Chairman and CEO of Take-Two Interactive commented on GTA VI, stating:
Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase.

GTA VI will be the 8th main installment in the immensely popular Grand Theft Auto series, following GTA V, and the 16th installment overall. Launching 12 years after its predecessor, this installment introduces two main characters, Lucia and Jason, who are partners in crime, as revealed in the game trailer. GTA VI will return players to the Miami-inspired Vice City, set in the fictional open-world state of Leonida, which is based in Florida.
